Presque Isle offers a fantastic variety of wilderness trails for mountain bikers, hikers, birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Presque Isle is wonderfully situated between the Northern Highland–American Legion State Forest to the south and Michigan’s Ottawa National Forest to the North. These huge forests provide hundreds of miles of beautiful woodland trails to explore.

Bicyclists will find the Presque Isle Trail system provides an exceptional variety of riding experiences. Located along the Wisconsin-Michigan border, this trail system runs over 100 miles into Michigan through some of the most beautiful lake country in the Midwest. A short, scenic trail right in the heart of Presque Isle shouldn’t be missed—the Presque Isle "Last Wilderness" Trail – a marked, self-guided hiking trail winding through a variety of forest stages and past lake views. Get trail map and information.
